About June

June Costa lives in a blue-shuttered house on Ilha das Flores, at the westernmost edge of the Azores, where the next landfall is Newfoundland and the mail boat comes twice a week. She swims before sunrise, writes in longhand until the light goes gold, and answers no questions about which parts are fiction. The Wanting Project is her debut.
